Arrival/Dismissal 

REMINDER: Our first day, Wednesday, September 3rd, is not an early release day.

 

A reminder to our new and returning KE Cub families, 

Please take a moment to review our arrival and dismissal maps and share this information with anyone assisting with your child's drop off and pick up.

 

CHANGES TO ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL

• One way of travel for all vehicles will be maintained for the duration of arrival and dismissal. 

• The thoroughfare that connected 71st and 73rd Avenues no longer exists. It is now a walkway.

• Buses will now be entering campus from 71st Avenue for drop off and pick up. 

• Parents/guardians will be entering through 73rd Ave and will drop off in front of the new building. Please remain in your vehicle.

• Parents and students who walk from home may do so and wait in front of the main entrance.

• There will be no parking available for student drop off or pick up.

• All parents need to be at the designated bus stop at least 5-10 minutes early.

MORNING ARRIVAL (DROP OFF)

• YMCA drop off at the upper parking lot by the YMCA, enter through 71st Ave., to avoid waiting with buses please arrive before 8:30am for YMCA drop off (7am-8:30am).

• Students being dropped off for Safety Patrol at 8:35am can be dropped off in front of the new admin building.

• Students participating in the Cross Country and African Drumming extracurricular activities can be dropped off at the front of the new school building on pre-scheduled days. Staff overseeing these activities will provide guidance for the specific time and dates.

• Please avoid dropping your student off prior to 8:45 am. Should you have other commitments, please make appropriate arrangements as there will be no supervision.

 

 

 

AFTERNOON DISMISSAL (PICK UP)

• Please do not park in the upper parking lot. If you do so, know there is a chance you will be blocked by buses until pick up/drop off is over.

• Keep in mind parking at the arboretum will not be available.
